Web Summit is considered one of the three largest startup events in Europe. During the event, it was attended by approximately 20,000 people ranging from entrepreneurs and startups to investors, and not just from Europe. Slovakia was represented not only in the form of startups, but also through investors, including the Innovations and Technologies Fund.
Pioneers is considered a Central European Oscar in a startup world and the Innovations and Technologies Fund could not be missed here. As the only venture capital fund from Slovakia, its representatives took part in a special investor event organized by the Wirtschaftskammer Österreich that preceded the main event. Radoslav Vašina, Chairman of the Board of Investeers: “We believe that this investor networking will also help our portfolio companies to establish themselves in this region. And of course, congratulations to the winner!".
Representatives of the Innovations and Technologies Fund are active not just within the private environment of startups, but they are also actively looking for investment opportunities in academia. For this reason, they were part of the largest event in the field of technology transfer in Slovakia.
